A random handful of things bringing me joy lately as a 40 something mom of three kiddos in Bend 📸

The summer is long and we don't have childcare, so free fun is our go-to. Our kids thrive when we are outside and Bend is THE place for this.

No joke, yesterday we spent five hours at a lake catching frogs, fish, tadpoles, digging in the sand and swimming and they still weren't ready to leave.

Everything worth doing in Bend for the 4th of July 🇺🇸

Start with the most "Bend" 4th of July and scroll through for some more off-the-beaten-path options too!

Some of my personal favorite 4ths here in Bend have included hiking & skiing south Sister, camping with family & friends at the lake, decorating bikes and doing the Freedom Ride, and sitting on our friends' roof watching the firework show!

There's plenty to do whether you love to be in the middle of it all or sneak away for a quieter day ☀️

This was my first time wake surfing and the new things to try living in Bend never end!

Most people who move to Bend say they wish they'd done it sooner, can you blame them? ✌🏽

Lake days, river floats, camp outs, and outdoor patios that geniunely never get old 💦

Free therapy for the whole fam ✨

Here are some of our go to summer adventures when we need to get fresh air and explore:

💦Grab some beach toys, snacks and something to float on and head to a nearby lake (so many within 1 hour of Bend!)

⛺️Camp! If we forget to book a site, we drive down forest roads and find an epic dispersed camp spot by a lake or a creek!

📍If you're in town, soak up the sun and play in the water at McKay Park or Miller's Landing (or of course, float the river through town!)
