An interesting article about the markets… I do agree that price is key; aspirational pricing will lead to lowball offers from aspirational buyers. Inventory is climbing quickly. In Central Oregon a well priced home goes pending in a week or two; but average days on market are hovering around 55. Most reasonable buyers are not jumping in on houses that are not in good condition and/or priced right… they are holding out for those price drops.

If you are struggling to make ends meet in Bend/Central Oregon, it isn't 'just you'. Affordability is a struggle on the High Desert, and projections are not for a significant shift in the near future without a major economic event. I realize this might not be a x-mas eve kind of message, but I also know so many get depressed this time of year, and feel like they are floundering... so I hope this data helps you know it isn't you, it isn't your fault, you are not failing... the cards are stacked against you.
