The Home Energy Score (HES) is now part of real estate transactions in Bend, and it's bringing up a lot of questions for agents.

One important thing to remember: it's the seller's responsibility to complete the Home Energy Score—not the listing agent's.

While there are potential risks to not completing the HES, we haven't seen a transaction negatively impacted because of it. The key is understanding the requirements, educating your clients, and helping them make informed decisions.
