It’s TACO TUESDAY!

If you’re looking for some yummy tacos today to celebrate, look no further than El Sancho! My personal pick for the best tacos & Mexican street food in Bend. They currently have two locations, a brick and mortar located Downtown Bend on Galveston and a food cart located at Crux Brewery. They had a structure fire at their Eastside location, on Dekalb, so this location is temporarily closed while they rebuild. They are working hard to be back open for business by mid May!

When you go, make sure to try their Chicharrones and a Margarita! They’re known for their fresh squeezed fruit house mix, which is lime, lemon & orange juices.

And a secret local tip - ask for your tacos “Blacksmith Style”. They’ll top your tacos with melted oaxacan cheese & green chilies. So yum!

The Old St. Francis School soaking pool is a sparkling gem – semi-enclosed in shimmering turquoise tilework, one is reminded of tropical locales, even while the central Oregon snow or rain falls in through the open ceiling! Admire the luminous stained glass window by David Schlicker and the tiles that were handcrafted, fired and painted by Justyn Livingston and installed by Boyer Tiles into a beautiful mural depicting St. Francis and others harvesting grapes.

It’s free for guests staying at the Hotel, and open from 7am to 10pm daily. For the public, you’ll need a reservation, and it’s $10 (guests under 2 are free!) for 1 hour and is open from 10:30am to 4:30pm daily.
