SOLD! A Piece of Mayfair History Finds Its Next Chapter

This one was personal.

Back in my early 20s and into my 30s, I spent countless nights behind the bar at McKenna’s—better known as “The Deener” to the Mayfair locals. Since first opening in 1981, it wasn’t just a bar; it was a community, a second home, and a place where friendships were made over cold drinks and good conversation.

Fast forward to today, and I’m beyond proud to say that I had the privilege of selling this iconic property—a multi-use building with two apartments upstairs and the legendary bar below. Helping this piece of neighborhood history transition into its next chapter was an honor, and it’s a full-circle moment I won’t forget.

On October 30th, 2015, just over six months into my real estate career, I sold my very first house—to a close friend of mine. Fast forward nine years, and I had the privilege of selling that same home, a place where they brought three beautiful daughters into the world.
