A former student walked through Ellen's door looking for help.

Years after teaching her in the classroom, Ellen was still there when she needed someone in her corner.

Today, Ellen volunteers with The Salvation Army, helping neighbors navigate housing challenges, food insecurity, utility shutoffs, and life's unexpected hardships.

When asked why she keeps coming back, her answer was simple: "I feel very fortunate myself. I need to give back." ❤️

Volunteers like Ellen are making a difference in communities every day. If you've ever wondered how you can help your neighbors, there may be a place for you at The Salvation Army. Read Ellen's full story: https://salarmy.us/47ezKtC

May we remember today that a full life isn’t measured by what we have, but by how we love, serve and share that love with others. ❤️

Have a blessed Sunday. 🙏

Twenty-five years later, we still remember. 🇺🇸

September 11, 2001 changed our nation forever. In the days that followed, The Salvation Army stood alongside first responders, survivors and communities in need, offering practical, emotional and spiritual support at Ground Zero.

Today, we remember their lives. We honor their courage. And we carry forward a commitment to serve others in times of greatest need.❤️
