SOLD!! 🏡
Many of you don't know the story behind this one — and I'll keep it that way — but this transaction was truly unlike anything I've seen before.
I've watched my mom build her real estate career since I was a kid. I've seen the highs and lows, and I've seen how a difficult deal can seep into your personal life. She is one of the strongest people I know, and this one tested even her. I'm so grateful for her leadership and everything she poured into getting this to the finish line.
Here's what I took away from this experience:
Set boundaries and know when to walk away. And when reviewing offers, don't just look at the numbers — vet everyone involved. The offer might look great on paper, but the people executing it matter just as much.
Our original closing date was mid-May. We finally closed last Thursday. That delay didn't just affect our sellers — it had a ripple effect on multiple families in a chain of transactions. Real estate is rarely just about two parties.
So if you take nothing else from this: when evaluating offers, look at the full picture — the buyer, the agent, and the lender. The whole team matters.
