A few weeks ago, I was wandering around an antique store and saw a ziploc bag of quilt squares for $12. I could tell it wasn't really fabric I liked so I kept going. A week went by and I couldn't stop thinking about them. Thinking about the amount of work that went into each square and the time spent makong them. I also thought about how sad it was that they ended up in a ziploc for $12. So I went back.. and bought the bag. I am a novice quilt maker with a new machine that will do all sorts of pretty stitching. I used this blanket as a chance to play with different stitches and get better at the basics. I wish I knew who made the squares and what their original plan was for them. I hope they wouldn't mind what I made.
