Did you know the “best week to buy a home” starts Sunday?

That’s the national headline. Here’s what I want buyers in Northwest Arkansas to know.

Realtor.com projects September 27–October 3 as the best week to buy nationally in 2026, based on the balance of available homes, buyer competition, and seasonal pricing. But a quieter season nationally doesn’t mean every local home will sit.

In August 2026, 1,751 homes went under contract across our region. That’s up from 1,302 in August 2025 and 1,234 in August 2024. That’s about 35% more than last August.

Fall may bring opportunities for buyers. The key is knowing where: which homes are attracting attention, which have been sitting, and where the price or terms leave room for a conversation.

If you’re considering a home in Bentonville, Rogers, or anywhere else in Northwest Arkansas, let’s look at your price range and the homes you’re actually considering.
