🏠 HOMEBUYER TIP: 3 Things to Do Before You Start Looking at Houses

Before you fall in love with a house, make sure you’re prepared! Here are 3 things I recommend doing first:

1️⃣ Find out what you qualify for.
Get pre-approved and find a lender you feel comfortable working with. Knowing your budget upfront makes the home search much easier!

2️⃣ Make a realistic wants & needs list.
What do you need in a home, and what would simply be nice to have? Keep your budget in mind when making your list—your dream home and your dream budget don’t always match. 😉

3️⃣ Give yourself a timeframe.
If possible, start planning 6–12 months ahead. You may not find the perfect home immediately, and giving yourself more time can help you avoid the stress of trying to sell one home and buy another at the same time.

☕ Back to the Grind

Monday mornings don’t just happen—they start with a little planning on Sunday night.

Before the week begins, I take some time to look at my calendar and figure out how everything fits together.

This week includes:
🚒 Fire Department
🏡 Real Estate
👩‍🏫 EKU class prep
💪 Workouts
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family time

I know not everything will go according to plan (it never does! 😂), but having a plan helps me start the week with purpose instead of playing catch-up.

One thing that’s non-negotiable for me is making time to move my body. Even on busy weeks, I know I’ll show up feeling better—for my family, my clients, my students, and my crew.
