Tips for the snow and ice being forecast
Make sure your phones, ipads, backup battery packs are charged
If you have lanterns or flashlights that require batteries, make sure you have correct batteries on hand
Fill up empty jugs and containers with water
Have a cooler or container ready so you could place food outside if power goes out for extended time
If power goes out keep opening of refrigerator and freezer to a minimum to maintain temp
Have extra blankets, and warm clothing
Beware of hacks you see on internet that involve anything with an open flame (this could lead to a fire)
Prepare a basic first aid kit
Open cabinet doors under kitchen and bathroom sinks to allow warm air to circulate
Avoid travel when possible
Be safe and stay warm!!
