Having completed its community-building projects and having sold all its developed homesites in Cacapon South, Cacapon East, and Oakland Overlook, MDG Companies of WV is no longer active in West Virginia real estate development or residential construction. The communities it developed continue to thrive under the stewardship of their respective Property Owners' Associations. Resale properties do occasionally become available and are usually featured in multiple list services.

The greater Cacapon South community has active Property Owners' Associations (POAs) managed by Boards of Directors elected by the property owners themselves. Additionally, neighborhood volunteers assist the Board with numerous tasks such as Road Maintenance, Architectural Review, Social Activities, Landscaping & Beautification, and much, much more. These dedicated volunteers and elected representatives do a stellar job of managing their community and maintaining facilities.
