There’s a certain kind of Fenwick Island local who sees a Nor’easter rolling in and thinks, “We should probably go see the beach.” 🌊

So naturally, we did.

Between the wind blowing our hair everywhere, waves crashing over the shoreline, and somehow still trying to film content on the beach… this is coastal Delaware life in its most authentic form.

Nor’easters are part of living along the Delaware coast, and while they’re definitely not your average beach day, there’s something pretty incredible about seeing Fenwick Island this wild.

At this point I think living in Coastal Delaware + Maryland means it’s required to keep a spare beach towel in the car… because you never know when a “quick errand” turns into a detour to the sand. 😅

I never really realized how weird some of our “normal” habits were until I left the state and had to explain them to someone who had absolutely no idea what I was talking about.

And honestly, those little things are half the reason I love living here.

It’s officially fall. 🍂

And there’s something especially beautiful about this time of year along the coast.

The beaches are quieter, the mornings feel a little cooler, and the pace starts to soften. There are still walks by the water, but now they come with cozy sweaters and coffee in hand.
