Nor at the Shore: Nor’easter Symphony
Moment: Just Stay Put
Our beaches are taking a beating as nor’easters move along the East Coast. From a safe place, I watch the waves push toward shore with a force I have rarely seen. Nature seems to be having a temper tantrum.
We build dunes to protect the shore, yet the wind and water still shift the sand. I’m reminded that we cannot control the weather, or tell the sea where to stop.
But even in this moment of turmoil, I can pause and notice what is before me. Every wave brings a surprise of color and sound. The water rises, curls, and breaks. I can feel its pounding like drums along the shore.
Today, I will let the storm pass. I will take a deep breath, listen to its symphony, just stay put, and enjoy the moment.
