BUYERS: September 27–October 3 MAY BE YOUR TIME!
If you've been waiting to buy a home at the Delaware beaches, the market may finally be giving you some breathing room.
Realtor.com has identified September 27–October 3 as one of the best buying windows of the year with:
More homes to choose from
Prices potentially 3.5% below their seasonal peak
More price reductions
Less competition from other buyers
And there's another important change: housing inventory is at its highest level nationally in more than 10 years.
That means buyers may have something they haven't had much of in recent years:
MORE CHOICES + MORE TIME + MORE NEGOTIATING POWER
But don't treat September 27–October 3 as a deadline. The bigger story is the fall market. Shopping earlier may provide more choices, while waiting later could bring additional price flexibility.
If you're thinking about buying in Bethany Beach, Ocean View, Fenwick Island or the surrounding area, this could be a very interesting fall to be a buyer.
Don't try to time the market perfectly. Take advantage of the opportunities when they appear.
