Love him or hate him...his words hit home. Great episode, great listen.
My favorite quote from the episode..."People who have the highest sense of self value are those who work with their hands"....It is a fact. The 'one' who fixes things or make things with their hands are the ones who have a quiet confidence. They know they can 'figure' it out and I wish that prevailing attitude was taught in schools or, at the very least, by the parents at home.....I mean, how many times do you see a guy who has to call AAA to change his tire??? What happens when you can't call someone?? Not everyone is born with a strong mechanical aptitude, but there is a certain responsibility to yourself to be self proficient.....I firmly believe that, overall, that mindset would make the world a better place.
Learn skills that intimidate you. Broaden your horizons and realize that the capability to work with and make 'things' with your hands is truly a gift.

Carpenter Bees and Pileated Woodpeckers…. Together, they are one of the most destructive duos in the Tri-State are to exposed wooden structures.
Here are some before and after pics from a recent project. Zac has the formula to, not only, fixing but alleviating the problem long term.

Tri-Star Contractors was proud to be a Host and Hostess sponsor of the 25th Annual Bethesda Lyceum last evening. The evening was filled with great food, drink and conversation as well as an inspirational speaker, Sampson Davis.

All told, it was a great evening from beginning to end. It was our absolute privilege, to be the sole painting contractor in the city to sponsor the event held by the Bethesda Foundation.

Arrow Springs….built in 2006….we painted and installed wallcoverings in this hospital when it was built. Many of the public finishes are the same we installed and 20 years later, they still look amazing……That is what you get when you employ a professional contractor.

When you are called to refinish the entry doors for office of Thane Maynard at the world famous Cincinnati Zoo…..this is what we do.

Zac took some very weathered doors, stripped them, stained them, sealed and finished them with some Waterlox Marine Coating in a tasteful gloss finish.

They turned out great!

Does this floor make my walls look dirty???

Our client wanted a mockup section with the chosen floor color to approve the color choice prior to our finishing the rest of the hangar floor…..after excessive prep, one coat of SW RESUPRIME 3504 and a topcoat of SW RESUTILE 4638 and it is slick as glass.

We can’t wait to see the finished project and neither can the client…🙂

Transformation Tuesday??? The finish coat is on all of the steel at our latest project. The insulation is receiving its new sheathing….

After dozens of years being coated with machining oils and residue, this is quite the transformation. Zac and Matt absolutely killed it. Our client will soon be able to move their new CNC equipment in to a new, fresh space that will serve them well for many years to come!!
