During National Hispanic Heritage Month, we honor the lives, legacies and accomplishments of the Hispanic and Latino communities. This month, our employee resource group VIDA hosted events across our markets and a moving discussion about resilience and empowerment. To round out the month, they are volunteering with a local food pantry to help provide food to our neighbors in need. Thank you, VIDA, for a month of connection, education and impact.

One Last September Spotlight!

We couldn’t officially welcome October without giving one more round of applause to Finnegan, our September Pet of the Month!

This 12-year-old Corgi/Jack Russell mix has called The Astrid home for more than two years and is quite the familiar face around the community. When he isn’t enjoying a good nap or negotiating for treats, you can find him exploring the neighborhood on one of his signature “sniffaris.”

Congratulations, Finnegan! We hope you enjoyed your month in the spotlight.

To support our company’s purposeful growth to nearly 4,500 employees and 145,000 apartments under management across the country, our corporate headquarters will move from Greenbelt, Maryland, to the vibrant, mixed-use Maple Lawn community in Howard County, Maryland. Centrally located between Baltimore and Washington with easy access to BWI airport, the location strengthens our connectivity as we continue to grow our national footprint and reflects our focus on creating environments that support how we collaborate and innovate as a company. Our annual Cans for Change initiative returns this week as part of Rise by Bozzuto’s Season of Giving. Across our communities and offices, associates and residents will collect canned goods for local food banks and pantries. Our teams will also volunteer at food banks and shelters, supporting neighbors facing food insecurity in the places we call home. This year, we hope to surpass what we’ve accomplished in the past and make an even greater impact together.

Today, we pause to remember and honor the innocent lives lost 25 years ago on September 11th.
We honor the extraordinary bravery of the first responders and everyday citizens who risked everything to help and save others.
May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who stepped forward, and the courage, compassion, and unity that emerged in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget!
