🚨TIP TUESDAY!🚨
It’s hard to believe, but the 2026 school season is already right around the corner!
Here are a few tips to help you get your home and schedule transition-ready:
1. **Sleep Schedules:**Shift bedtimes and wake-up times closer to “school time” roughly two weeks before classes begin.
2. **Morning Rehearsals:**Do dry runs of your morning routine (eating breakfast, brushing teeth, and getting dressed) to identify any bottlenecks.
3. **Calendar Sync: ** Add all school hours, half-days, holidays, and extracurricular schedules to a master household calendar
4. **Review the List: **Wait for your specific teacher or school supply list before buying, but stock up on essentials like notebooks, pencils, and backpacks early.
5. **Clothing Inventory: **Go through kids’ closets to see what still fits, and make a checklist of required fall/winter gear (shoes, jackets, uniform pieces).
6. **Name Labels: **Use a permanent marker, label maker, or name stamps to label everything that leaves the house (lunchboxes, water bottles, and jackets).
7. **Appointments: Schedule required physicals, dental cleanings, and back-to-school haircuts well in advance so you aren’t fighting for open slots on the calendar.
8. **Medication & Forms: ** If your child needs medication administered at school, contact the front office to fill out the necessary medical action plans and drop off supplies before the first day.
9. **After-School Care: **Secure and confirm your after-school programs or transportation routes.
10. **Homework Station: ** Set up a quiet, distraction-free area with good lighting and basic supplies (pencils, glue, scissors, and a calculator).
I love seeing our community come back to life this time of year. If you’re looking to find a home with a bit more space for your growing needs or a better layout for your daily routine, I’m always here to help you explore the options.
Wishing everyone a smooth and successful start to the new term!
