I don’t care if you have public sewer, septic, a holding tank, or an outhouse (ok maybe an outhouse is ok) please save yourself the time, drama, and money by NOT using “flushable” wipes. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should!
🚫 This is why wipes don’t belong in the toilet. 🚫
What you’re looking at is a massive bundle of wipes removed from equipment at our wastewater treatment plant.
Despite being labeled “flushable,” wipes do not break down like toilet paper. Instead, they tangle together with grease, debris, and other materials in the sewer system. Over time, they can clog pipes, damage pumps, cause sewer backups, and create costly maintenance problems.
This single mass had to be physically removed from our equipment before it could cause even bigger issues.
The only things that should be flushed are:
✅ Human waste
✅ Toilet paper
A simple choice at home can help protect our sewer system, prevent backups, and save money on repairs.
When it comes to wipes, don’t flush them. Trash them.
