🏠 **Allentown Property Owners: Important Update**

On Wednesday, July 15, 2026, Allentown City Council will consider an ordinance affecting properties vacant for 90 days or more.

If approved, these properties could be added to a Vacant Property Registry, requiring:

• $300 annual fee
• Inspection within 45 days
• Automatic public nuisance designation

Homes may be vacant for many legitimate reasons, including being listed for sale, probate, military deployment, or family hardship.

Public comments may be submitted before Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Residents are encouraged to ask City Council to include clear vacancy standards and an independent appeals process.
