Sorry in advance, because you're never going to look at white paint the same way again. 😅

Every white has an undertone, whether it's yellow, pink, blue, or green. If you've ever painted a room white and still felt like something was off, the undertone could be fighting everything else in the space.

Here's my favorite trick: hold your paint sample up against plain white printer paper in the room you're painting. That undertone shows up immediately.

Save this for the next time you're standing in the paint aisle staring at 40 "identical" whites.

The 2026 Colors of the Year are here, and I'm honestly loving where color is headed. 🎨

Universal Khaki, Silhouette, and Hidden Gem are all gorgeous in the right spot. The catch is that one of them is going to end up in a lot of the wrong rooms this year. Watch before you grab a gallon.

My quick take: Silhouette on millwork, Hidden Gem if you're ready to fully commit, and Universal Khaki on cabinets or in a warm, sunny room. Whatever you pick, sample it in your actual house first, because your lighting changes everything.
