Santa Barbara is stunning… but let’s be honest, homeownership here is becoming almost impossible for a lot of local workers and families. 🏡💸

I spoke with about the reality buyers are facing right now: prices near $1.9M, limited inventory, higher rates, rising insurance costs, and the big question every coastal city needs to answer…

Who actually gets to stay? 👀

Because when teachers, nurses, service workers, and first-time buyers get priced out, a city doesn’t just lose affordability — it loses part of its soul.

Thank you and for including me in this important conversation. 🎤

Would you spend the night inside one of Beverly Hills’ most haunted mansions? 👻🏛️

In the FINAL chapter of Ask Yawar: Greystone Mansion, we’re going paranormal.

Visitors and staff have reported unexplained footsteps, doors moving on their own, sudden cold spots, shadowy figures and the unmistakable feeling that someone is watching.

Could the spirits of Ned Doheny and Hugh Plunkett still be haunting the scene of their mysterious 1929 deaths? Or has nearly a century of murder, scandal and Hollywood history created the perfect ghost story?

I’ve been married there, filmed there and walked those halls myself. Trust me, Greystone has an energy you don’t forget. 👀

Watch until the end, then tell me: haunted or Hollywood hype?

Ask Yawar: Historic Homes Edition, Part 3 🏛️🎬

The murders were never solved, but Greystone’s story was far from over.

Lucy Doheny eventually sold the estate to legendary developer Paul Trousdale, who transformed much of the surrounding land into the ultra-exclusive Trousdale Estates.

The mansion itself was sold to industrialist Henry Crown, who rented it to Hollywood studios before considering the unthinkable: tearing it down.

Thankfully, Greystone survived and became one of Hollywood’s most iconic filming locations. You’ve seen it in Batman & Robin, Spider-Man, Ghostbusters, X-Men, The Big Lebowski, The Social Network, The Holiday, There Will Be Bloodand Mariah Carey’s We Belong Together video. 🎥✨

The City of Beverly Hills purchased Greystone and its remaining 18.3 acres in 1965, officially dedicating it as a public park in 1971.

And its story became part of mine too. This is where Jason and I got married for the second time, following our wedding at the Grammy Awards earlier that year. Because apparently, one iconic wedding simply wasn’t enough. 💍🥂

From an unsolved double death… to the creation of Trousdale Estates… to Batman, Spider-Man and our own wedding.

Greystone didn’t just survive its scandal. It became a Hollywood legend. 🌟

Ask Yawar is back with Part 2 — and this is where Greystone Mansion gets messy. 🏛️🖤

Behind the gates, the grand staircases, and the old Hollywood glamour is one of Los Angeles’ most infamous unsolved scandals: a shocking death, whispers of a cover-up, forbidden relationships, family secrets, and rumors that Beverly Hills society desperately wanted buried.

Was it murder?
Was it a love triangle?
Was it a gay scandal too explosive for 1920s Los Angeles?
Or was the truth hidden because the names involved were simply too powerful?

Nearly a century later, people are still asking what really happened inside Greystone Mansion.

And trust me… this story has everything: money, power, s*x, silence, and a mystery that refuses to stay dead.

Welcome to Ask Yawar: Historic Homes Edition — Part 2.
Let’s get into the scandal behind the stone walls. 🕯️

Throwback Thursday: Hidden Hills knew how to make an entrance. ✨

5515 Dixon Trail wasn’t just big — it was drama.

Nearly 15,000 sq ft of Mediterranean estate energy on over 2.5 acres, with 7 bedrooms, 9 baths, a theater, pool, spa, sports court, and the kind of front entry that says, “Yes, the gate code is private.” 🔥

Some homes whisper luxury.
This one pulled up in full glam.

Ask Yawar is back — and we’re officially kicking off Season 2 of the historic homes series. 🏛️✨

People loved the first series so much, I had to bring it back… and what better place to start than Greystone Mansion in Beverly Hills?

A Hollywood icon.
The site of one of Los Angeles’ most notorious unsolved murders.
The backdrop for Mariah Carey’s We Belong Together video.
And, most importantly to me, the place where we said “I do” surrounded by our friends and family. 💍

This house has drama, mystery, old Hollywood glamour, and a little piece of my own history — so naturally, it had to be the first stop.

Welcome back to Ask Yawar: Historic Homes Edition.
Trust me, this one has layers. 🖤

Your neighbor’s house just sold… and now everyone suddenly thinks they’re sitting on a gold mine. 👀🏡💰

I was quoted in AOL breaking down what that sale actually means for your home’s value — because spoiler alert: the Zestimate warriors are not always right. 😅

Yes, the sale next door matters. But so do the upgrades, the floor plan, the timing, the condition, the lot, the light, the buyer pool, and about 47 other things people forget to factor in. 📍✨

One sale can start the conversation.
It does not tell the whole story. 😉

So before you mentally spend that imaginary equity, make sure you know what your home is really worth. 🔑

SOLD ✨

Met her at an open house last year.
Stayed in touch. Built the relationship. Earned the trust.

And even with three Realtors in her own family… she chose us.

No pressure, right? 😅

Fast forward to multiple offers, a competitive situation, and a whole lot of strategy — we secured the win.

Huge shoutout to Adam, the amazing agent on my team who took the lead on this one and truly made it happen. This is what teamwork looks like.

So grateful for the trust, the loyalty, and the chance to be part of her next chapter.

Proof that real estate is not just about the sale.
It’s about showing up long before the deal ever exists. 🏡✨

Ask Yawar 🚨🌎 Final Part of the Series

We’ve made it to the final stop on this journey across America’s most underrated cities.

Over this series, we’ve explored places that offer walkability, affordability, public transportation, culture, entertainment, and a quality of life that often gets overlooked.

And for the final city…

📍Baltimore, Maryland

Before you scroll past, hear me out. 👀

Baltimore might be one of the most misunderstood cities in America.

Historic neighborhoods. Waterfront living. Incredible seafood. Professional sports. World class hospitals and universities. A thriving arts scene. Easy access to Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York. And housing prices that can still make people from larger cities do a double take.

Is it perfect? Of course not.

But that’s kind of the point of this entire Ask Yawar series. The best city for you isn’t always the one making headlines. Sometimes it’s the place that offers the right balance of opportunity, affordability, character, and lifestyle.

So now that we’ve covered cities all across the country…

Which city from this series surprised you the most? And where should I explore next? 👇
