Did you know the average length of homeownership is 8 years, and slowly increasing? In fact, the average person will own at least 3 houses in their lifetime. The consequences of the booming housing market we had the past few years have brought rising home prices, high mortgage rates and inventory shortages. As a result, buying and selling began to slow, increasing the average length of homeownership. Real estate experts recommend living in a house for at least 5-7 years because a home will typically appreciate enough after 5 years to recoup financially, and you can avoid capital gains tax on some of the profit if you reside in the home long enough.

Prices and inventory levels have remained relatively stable in recent weeks and the market has recently shown signs of slowing. Keep an eye on the Market Action Index, as it can be a leading indicator of price changes.

The best pasta maker in LA is opening a multi-level restaurant in Beverly Hills. 🍝

Evan Funke, the chef behind Venice's Felix Trattoria and Hollywood's Mother Wolf, will have three stories, a rooftop bar, and a private dining room restaurant next spring. The new culinary concept, located at 9388 South Santa Monica Blvd, will not be regionally specific (as with Mother Wolf's menu of regional Roman cuisine), but rather a "paean to regional Italian traditions."

For the time being, the Beverly Hills restaurant space is still a work in progress. Intension Design, a design-forward construction company, will lead the construction.
