Went to this yesterday AM in El Segundo and it was GREAT! Several Officers came: 2 Detectives who are also Crisis Negotiators for the Police Dept, 1 Sergeant, and several Patrol Officers. For those of us who attended, the Sergeant showed us his vest and how it works, plus photos of bullets stopped at a vest just last week, saving an officer's life. He also showed us some of the other things they carry and why. Had great conversations with them all, and found out all kinds of interesting facts and useful safety tips. Looking forward to the next time they or another Station have a "Coffee With the Cops" or "Brews With Blues". Thank you all for your service and for putting your life on the line to protect us everyday--may more people realize how much they do.
