The Summer I Turned European…Pt. 2 Morocco

Morocco was on my bucket list - so I dragged my family along for the iconic sights, incredible craftsmanship, deliciously simple food, amazing architecture, picturesque sand dunes and sexy belly dancers. This 12 person, multigenerational trip was truly one for the books (and not for the faint hearted)! One week traveling across Marrakesh, the Sahara Desert and Fez. Favorites: experiencing tile making, leather dying, food tour in the Shuk, sandboarding and camel rides as the sunrises, fantastic colors of the gardens, beautiful history and amazing memories for a lifetime!

The Summer I Turned European…Pt.1 Barcelona

Our first stop of this amazing adventure started in Barcelona. I’ve been here many times but never with my husband and kids so it felt like I got to play tour guide with them! We arrived the day after the Pope blessed the newly completed (but is it really?!) Sagrada Familia although, my bad, I didn’t plan well and we could not get tickets for interior access - the energy in the city was palpable nonetheless. Gaudi may be the most fascinating architect of all time, his thoughtful yet whimsical use of lines, meshing of different architectural styles and his use of tilework is everywhere you look. After some sightseeing, shopping and lots of yummy food, Asher introduced us to the world of Formula 1 where we sat in the scorching sun watching incredible racers zoom by - genuinely thrilling and I get it now! But I couldn’t leave without a quick cocktail visit with The Agency Barcelona.
