When I was in high school, my parents bought a small motel in Ohio. I cleaned rooms, worked the front desk, folded towels.
That motel taught me something I still carry into every luxury listing I sell: Housing isn't really about buildings.
It's about security, opportunity, and having a place in the world that belongs to you.
I just published a new piece on what two factory visits — Plant Prefab and Cassette — taught me about the future of housing in LA, and why I think we're approaching an Eichler moment for the next American neighborhood.
Thanks to Glenn and Kaplan for the time and the conversations that shaped this. 👇
