Interior Designers have shared their thoughts on some of the noteworthy trends that will shape home design in 2023 - Read on!

#1 Maximalism
Colors, energetic patterns and layers of textiles, and saturated hues are the things that embody a maximalist room. Maximalism means more of everything–more of your favorite colors, fabrics and accessories. To keep your decor from looking too random, find a few common colors or patterns to repeat through the room.

“Maximalism, to me, is completely about personalization. It lets you show your interests, such as books, portraits, places of travel, collections of things and so on," –Grey Joyner (North Carolina-based interior designer).

#2 Art Deco
“Art Deco design will continue to be a trend well into 2023 and beyond,” –Diana Viera (managing partner at Italkraft)

This trend features vibrant hues alongside bold geometric shapes but with a clean-lined aesthetic, often incorporating metallics and high-end stone finishes.

#3 Archs and Curves
“The arch is the new rectangle,” –Mary K. Lambrakos of Lambrakos Studio in Houston.

According to Mary Maydan, the curve trend began a few years ago, first with multiple round coffee tables in varying sizes and heights placed next to each other. And as we all seek softness in our lives, the curves and organic shapes are here to stay in 2023.

#4 Artisan Furnishings
Nina Grauer, designer and founding partner of Dekay & Tate, sees people moving away from fast furniture in the same vein as many are stepping away from fast fashion.
