Today, after nearly 37 years, we handed someone else the keys to the place we called home.

It’s strange what an empty room can hold. Today, as I walked through each one for the last time, they didn’t feel empty at all.

These walls watched my daughter grow up. They held Christmas mornings, birthdays, graduation celebrations, family gathered around the table, and thousands of ordinary days I never knew I’d miss so much. Later, they welcomed my granddaughter, and another generation of memories began within the same walls.

For 37 years, this home quietly held our life. And today, I realized just how hard it is to say goodbye to a place that holds so much of who you are.

But even through the tears, there was peace. This entire process unfolded so seamlessly that I truly believe it was God’s way of saying, it’s time.

To the new owners, our chapter here has ended, but yours is just beginning. I hope these walls hold your family as tenderly as they held ours. And I hope you fill them with so many beautiful, ordinary days that someday, you’ll miss them too.

Sometimes purpose shows up in the simplest ways. How you treat people. How you show up. How you handle the moments no one else sees.

Over the years, I’ve learned that faith doesn’t just guide the big decisions. It shapes the everyday ones too.

For me, that means trying to be a light to the people around me, staying faithful in the work God has placed in front of me, and trusting His plan even when I can’t see where it’s leading.

Real estate may be what I do, but serving people is a much bigger part of why I do it.

These are four reminders I come back to often, both personally and professionally. To live with purpose, lead with kindness, stay faithful in the small things, and trust that God is working even when I don’t have the whole picture.
