🌼 Sitting outside in my backyard, the warm sun on my face, I can’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of peace. Working from home today feels like a privilege to be in this space, watching over my incredible 95-year-old Mom. Just seeing her presence brings me immense comfort and joy. 💖
She is my rock, alongside Urania and my girls, and I can honestly say that there’s no place I’d rather be than right here with them. My Mom is a fierce spirit, fiercely independent, so she often insists she doesn’t need help. But we’re determined to support her—after all, she means the world to us. Every moment spent with her is precious, and we want to cherish it fully, giving back even a fraction of the love and care she has showered upon us throughout her life.
This journey has not been easy. We’ve faced loss together—losing my Dad and my sister still feels like a heavy weight on my heart. Yet, those experiences have also brought so much into perspective. They serve as a constant reminder of how vital it is to value each moment we share. I want to soak in every laugh, every story, and every bit of wisdom she has to offer. What we can do for her feels minimal compared to the immeasurable love she has given us.
I thank God for her every day, even if she can be a little stubborn at times—after all, it’s likely that stubbornness that has helped her thrive for so long. Her generation knew about grit, resilience, and love in ways that inspire me every day.
So here’s to my beautiful Mom: thank you for everything you’ve done and continue to do for us. Your strength and spirit light up our lives. Please stay with us for as long as you can—we love you more than words can express. 🌹❤️
