If you're buying or selling a luxury home and you're starting with Zillow, we need to talk.

Zillow's algorithm is built for volume. It pulls comps, runs the numbers, and spits out a figure. And in a standard market it does an okay job.
But luxury real estate doesn't work that way.

The algorithm doesn't know that your home has unobstructed ocean views. It doesn't know the architect, the quality of the stone, or the fact that the property two blocks away sold off market for a record number that never showed up anywhere publicly.

I've seen Zestimates come in millions below what a home actually sold for. I've also seen sellers price based on a Zestimate and sit on the market for close to a year wondering what went wrong.

In this market, your home's value isn't a formula. It's a conversation - one that factors in everything an algorithm will never be able to see.

Brentwood has a new obsession and it's called Matu Kai. 🥩 The sister location to the beloved Beverly Hills original just landed on San Vicente and it is already earning its place as one of the best steakhouses on the Westside.

The focus here is simple. Exceptional meat, done right. 100% grass-fed Wagyu from New Zealand, cooked with intention and served without pretension. The kind of place where the quality of what's on the plate does all the talking.

The dinner for two is the move if you want the full experience. Five courses, each one better than the last. The beef cheek is impossibly tender. The tartare is clean and perfectly seasoned. And the ribeye? Let the kitchen do its thing and do not ask for medium well. Trust.

But the real hidden gem here is the wagyu Philly cheesesteak at the bar. Bar seating only, lunch service, first come first served. Get there when they open. It is worth every minute of the wait.

Cocktails are serious. Vibe is romantic but relaxed. And the garlic bread alone deserves its own mention.

Tucked inside a charming Victorian house in Victor Heights, chef Miles Thompson - James Beard nominee, alumni of Michael's Santa Monica - has built something genuinely singular. A hyper-seasonal, farmers-market-driven menu that changes constantly, pulling from within 300 miles of the restaurant and weaving in the full, vibrant tapestry of LA's culinary cultures.

What's been coming out of the kitchen:
🔹 Nixtamalized beets with Yucatán-inspired sunflower seed salsa
🔹 Dungeness crab with English peas and dehydrated banana powder
🔹 Octopus a la plancha with hazelnut aioli and pickled wasabi leaf
🔹 Pork loin over Japanese charcoal with stinging nettle apple purée
🔹 Pine nut cookies with candied rhubarb and fennel fronds
Five courses. Refreshingly compact. Order all of it.

The wine list - curated by co-owner Andy Schwartz - is just as considered, with poetic bottle descriptions that feel like part of the meal itself.
The room seats 36. Walk-ins welcome out front. Reservations? Two weeks out, 10am sharp. Gone the same day.

Dinner at Lielle is one of those experiences LA did not know it needed. 🥂 Michelin starred Swedish chef Marcus Jernmark, formerly of Per Se and Aquavit, just opened his first LA restaurant in Beverlywood and it is already one of the most talked about tables in the city.

Think aged squab over pine, abalone with rose geranium butter, and a rum soaked sticky bun you cut with golden scissors - all in an intimate 42 seat subterranean space that feels like dining in the Parisian catacombs.
