Not all Los Angeles neighborhoods are playing by the same real estate rules right now. 🏡
Some areas are offering buyers more room to negotiate, while hot spots like the Westside and certain hillside enclaves remain competitive and move quickly. The selection of homes can look completely different just a few miles apart, so treating Los Angeles as one big market can mean missing out, or getting blindsided by tougher conditions than expected.
When working with buyers or sellers, I focus on reading each neighborhood’s inventory closely, since knowing where things are tight versus where there’s more room can shape everything from your search strategy to how much leverage you actually have. Properties lingering longer can open the door for extra negotiation, while in sought-after pockets, you may need to move faster to win.
