This is my reaction to the terrible incident in Australia recently. I’m so sorry that so many of the people I love have to live in fear and anger. This is statistically the safest time it’s ever been but something about it feels like it’s not. fear and ignorance that’s a scary combo. F**k these racist ignorant fear based as****es. How dare you. Sensitive ass bi***es. I get it. Mental health. Yeah but most of this feels like overly sensitive men who can’t daal with their feelings. Ugh. WHat do WE DO???

My grandpa. Robert Hanna aka Popeye. Master of many trades. Blueprint specialist, engineer (he could draw a perfect circle by hand), award winning barbershop quartet singer, ball player, carpenter. He was colorblind (which I inherited) which allowed him to survive WW2. The army wouldn’t allow you to fight missions because they were afraid you’d shoot down the wrong uniform. Because of his engineering background he was ordered to stay low and work on the planes. My granny said the moment she knew she wanted to marry him was when they were driving down the street (Baltimore, MD) and came across a turtle. My grandfather stopped the car, picked up the turtle and helped it across. Right then and there she knew. Love you Popeye. Go Orioles. 🫡

My grandfather. William King Senior. A marine. We never met because he died at 22 fighting in the Korean War. His son, my father was only two. Sr’s body was MIA. One of the saddest parts about his disappearance is for my father’s whole life every time there’s been a knock at the door my dad wondered if it’d be his dad. Ugh. War sucks. 🫡

Man at first I wasn’t gonna post this cause who wants third but this is pretty cool. I should be super proud of myself. I moved into a new area. I didn’t know anybody and now I’m third in the entire office in sales. I mean there’s some big time heavy hitters in my office. I’ll take that bronze cause next year I might take that silver and then I might take that gold but for real the numbers aren’t even all that important because you can’t really control the numbers. What I can control is the process and I know I work really hard every day. I’m always in the office. I’m always doing those uncomfortable things I don’t wanna do. It’s easy to do the stuff when you want to do it. The test is when you don’t. I’ll pat myself on the back cause I can go to bed at night proud with the way I treat my day. True story. That’s what I can control. Stay tuned. Lets go.
