This year’s annual family trip took us to the beautiful Central Coast, and I can honestly say this has been one of my favorite vacations yet. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, laughter, and quality time together.

We explored some incredible places along the coast including Ragged Point, Hearst Castle, Cambria, Harmony, Morro Bay, soaked in the mineral waters at Franklin Hot Springs, and ended one evening wandering through the lights of Sensorio.

One of my personal favorite parts? Antique shops and thrift stores. There is just something so fun about finding little treasures and pieces with history behind them. We spent afternoons lounging by the pool, evenings playing Sequence after dinner, and every single day my husband gifted us with a new “word of the day,” which somehow became one of my favorite little traditions of the trip.

A few of mine:
• Jejune — dull, uninteresting, lacking substance
• Jocose — playful and humorous
• Ensconce — to settle in warmly and comfortably
• Deification — the act of treating someone like a god

At the end of the day, the places are beautiful… but it’s the people you experience them with that make them unforgettable. I love my family, and I love the memories we continue to create together. 🤍
