Northwest Montana's real estate market continues to show resilience as we move into the heart of the summer season. Inventory is steadily increasing across most markets, providing buyers with more choices than we've seen in recent years, while prices remain remarkably stable in many areas.

Flathead County saw 526 new listings come to market in May, a 13% increase over April, with median sale prices holding strong at $570,000. Kalispell and Whitefish both experienced increases in activity, while Bigfork and Lakeside continue to attract buyers seeking lifestyle-driven properties near golf, recreation, and Flathead Lake.

One trend worth watching is the increase in days on market across several communities. While well-priced and well-presented homes are still moving quickly, buyers are taking more time to evaluate their options. This shift creates opportunities for both buyers and sellers who are working with a knowledgeable local professional and approaching the market strategically.
