One of the most common questions I get from buyers is…
“What exactly is Earnest Money?” 🏡

Think of Earnest Money as a "good faith deposit" that shows the seller you’re serious about purchasing their home.

When an offer is accepted, the buyer typically submits Earnest Money to be held securely until closing — usually by the Title & Escrow company.

Here’s the good news 👇
✔️ It is NOT an extra fee
✔️ It usually goes toward your closing costs or down payment
✔️ It helps strengthen your offer

The amount can vary depending on the home, market, and terms of the contract.

This is also where having a Realtor with Title & Escrow experience can really help! I love walking my clients through every step of the process so they feel informed, comfortable, and confident from start to finish. ❤️
