🏠Get Your Home Ready for Winter with These Essential Tips🌨️

Test Detectors: 🛠️ Ensure smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are working properly and have fresh batteries. 🕵️‍♀️

Furnace Filter: 🔥 Check, clean, or replace your furnace filter to keep your heating system running efficiently.

Seal Drafts: 🚪 Check doors and windows for drafts and replace weatherstripping or caulking as needed to keep the cold out.

Insulate Pipes: 🧊 Insulate exposed pipes, especially in unheated areas, to prevent freezing.

Clean Gutters: 🌧️ Clean gutters and downspouts to prevent ice dams and water damage.

Trim Branches: 🌳 Trim branches that could fall on your home during a winter storm or under the weight of snow and ice.

Disconnect Hoses: 🏡 Disconnect garden hoses from spigots to prevent freezing and damage.

Check for Pests: 🐀 As the temperature drops, rodents and other pests will seek warmth. Inspect your home for any openings they could use to get inside and seal them up.

Blow Out Sprinklers: 🚿 If you haven't already, get those sprinkler systems blown out to prevent freezing and burst pipes!

Seal Cracks: 🧱 Check for and seal any cracks in the foundation, walkway, or driveway to prevent water from seeping in and freezing, causing further damage.
