I asked my siding rep one question when we sat down on pricing.

Am I getting the best price possible. Not just the number on the sheet, all of it. Rebates, incentives, everything.

They won't hand you that. You have to ask for it.

Most builders just open the bill and hope the numbers work out. Hope is not a pricing strategy.

Your reps want to keep your business as bad as you want theirs. Use that.

I run comps 150 miles away in Bozeman because the market there isn't Billings.

Bedroom count, bath finishes, layout, single vs two story. That's what buyers actually care about.

Staging? Don't care. I want the natural colors so I know I'm building the right vibe for that buyer.
