Apparently, I've been so focused on work that I've been neglecting this FB posting on the business side... just so you all know... it's June now!!! Yes, finally a long stint of good warm weather. I paid my last month's power bill just under $300 and this month it's down to $75 or so.... the difference between heating with electricity and not needing AC. Wow. I'm thankful for that! Definitely calling the NW Natural folks and getting my gas heat reestablished at the house. Heating all winter, particularly this record setting ice cold last winter, with just electric heat was COSTLY! Note to self.... get more insulation in the attic and under the house this summer! Time to get serious about abating those power bills.

Also, my strawberry plants and tomatoes are going good on the front porch. I already see signs of fruit growing on both sets of plants. LOVE it! I should plant some lettuce and maybe some carrots too. Summer salads are the bomb!

Well, it's Friday the 14th of April 2023 AND finally, it's been a beautiful all day kind of spring weather day... the daffodils are in full bloom, the overnight temps that were down to freezing warmed up nicely and it was a T-shirt and flip flops day in The Dalles today. I'm starting to feel rejuvenated by the sunshine! So happy weekend ahead everyone and Carpe Diem! Get out there and get some plants! Spring is springing and those summer veggies need to get planted now for enjoying later! Fred Meyer in The Dalles is having a Fushia sale this weekend too. They look mighty tempting! Mother's Day is just a few weeks away! Think about that. Later.... Cathy
