Interesting time to be in real estate being what I deem a "life changing event" market! - where real estate sales are dominated by buyers and sellers experiencing a life changing event. i.e. loss of job, retirement, etc. Thankfully, my sphere of influence has me busy and doing okay in this very unique market! Wow what a weekend. I listed this "fixer" rambler located next to railroad track with crossing gate in corner of front yard so home shakes and train horns sound three times throughout a night.
My seller decided Monday night on the highest non escalating "cash offer" with no subjects i.e. inspection etc. from 15 offers. Talk about a bidding war! Seller said they came to me as found out online that I have a successful history with selling "fixers!" I didn't know that but guess I may have found a niche😉😉

Wow how the time flies as we head into 2025. No surprise January again was a slow time in local rea estate with continued low supply but a surprising major increase in average home value of homes sold in January to the high $700,000's for our "gem" of a community "Blaine." Again, thanks to "loyal" clients I have had a great start to 2025 with almost depleting (selling) all my listings. Back to grindstone to get more!😉😉😉

Interesting time in local real estate with affordable housing for first time home buyers extremely difficult but a noticeable drop in October of average home sales price down $100K to $667,000. Yes here in Blaine average price of home sold was $667K and time to sell has gone up again to over a month and a half. Thankfully, due to loyalty of my clients 2024 is going to be a good year for me despite having lost my centurian business partner "Joyce."

Got to love it when a homeowner keeps your mail out as it's content was valued having them reach out to me to list their home 10 months later. Just listing in Bellingham's Cordata neighborhood this 2005 2 story family home offering 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, over 1469 square feet of living space on a 6800 square foot landscaped corner lot close to city amenities, college and parks.
