Hi, I’m Rachel Powell and I was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. I am passionate about real estate and helping others achieve the goal of home ownership. My late father, Harold Thompson, was a REALTOR® my entire life. He helped me purchase my first home, in Crestwood, after attending Millsaps College where I majored in Business Administration. Buying a home can be very stressful and emotional! I

still remember the experience of buying my first home 20 years ago. Since then, my husband, Jeremy, and I have bought and sold multiple properties; including several investment properties that he manages. I began my professional career at the Rotary Club of Birmingham as the Assistant to the Executive Director. I was also a founding member of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham. After I left Rotary, I began an almost 17-year career in the Banking Industry. Through my experience in banking, I bring a detailed and analytical approach to the real estate market. My method to home sales is both data-driven and personal. While working full-time, I received my Master’s in Business Administration from UAB in 2008. Whether you are a young professional, a growing family, or are interested in investing in real estate in the Birmingham area, I have the knowledge and connections to help you find the right property.
