And apparently this is one of those little RITES OF PASSAGE that feels like a VERY BIG DEAL when you’re watching a little girl take one more tiny step into YOUNG LADYHOOD. 🥹💕✨

When you don’t have a daughter of your own, you realize there are certain sweet little moments you just don’t automatically get to be part of.

But as Slaughenhoup-ADJACENT😂💜, I occasionally get invited into the GIRL STUFF … and I LOVE IT.

Today, I got to witness this brave little lady climb into that chair, get those ears pierced and come out looking approximately 17 years older. 😂💎✨

She was BRAVE.
She was BEAUTIFUL.
And she was SO PROUD. 🥹💕

And I was ridiculously happy that I got to be there for it.

Because sometimes it’s not the giant milestones that get you.

It’s the tiny sparkly earrings. 💎
The nervous little smile.
The “I DID IT!” moment.
And getting a front-row seat to watch a little girl grow into a young lady right before your eyes. 💜😭

🎶 The Stage Is Bare 🙏

It’s been such a bizarre five days.

I have been going 90-to-nothing since Thursday… and then this morning, it felt like EVERYTHING abruptly came to a halt.

Since Thursday, it’s been two closings. Saturday 7:42 AM car wreck. Serving our community. Showings. Three open houses. A podcast Guest appearance. Church. Insurance calls. Sales meeting.

And somewhere in the middle of ALL of it… putting together, negotiating & amending a HUGE offer for buyers who absolutely loved a house.

Then Tuesday at 5 PM, we got the call.

Our offer was NOT accepted… a CASH offer won.

And just like that…My brain stopped.

After five days of adrenaline, driving, working, serving, praying, negotiating, talking, solving, hoping and GOING…

There was suddenly nothing left to do.

Nothing left to negotiate.
Nothing left to fix.
Nothing left to say.

And maybe that’s exactly why this week’s Hey God… It’s Me 🎶 “The Stage Is Bare” found me when it did.

Because what happens when the noise finally stops?

What happens when you’ve talked it through with everybody you know… prayed the prayers… replayed the conversations… questioned what you could have done differently… and there’s simply no one left to listen?

God is still there.

Sometimes our quiet time with God doesn’t happen because we intentionally carved out the perfect peaceful morning.

Sometimes life simply brings us to a STOP.

The stage is bare.
The noise is gone.
The outcome is out of our hands.
And there He is. 💜

Because sometimes when the stage is bare and everyone else is gone…the ONLY AUDIENCE YOU NEED is GOD. 💜

A place where Christian music, faith, prayer and real life meet — especially when we don’t have the words ourselves.
