Imported slate flooring was installed in the home's lower level, part of an effort to equip the house for the all-seasons sporting activities, from boating or lounging by the pool in the summer to ice skating on the lake in the winter.
The home and property were designed with a mix of privacy and entertaining in mind.
Several design choices were incorporated to minimize intrusions from the surrounding area, he said. The pool, for instance, sits at an elevation so boaters going by don't see it.
