Regency Crown is truly one of Birmingham's hidden treasures, though in plain view. As a seven story high rise sitting atop Red Mountain, the views are stunning. Odd numbered units face downtown with views of the downtown cityscape and many miles beyond on the horizon. Even numbered units face south and overlook Homewood, Mountain Brook, and Vestavia. There are also end units and penthouses that h
ave views of both sides of the mountain. No matter which unit, you can see either a sunset or a sunrise every day. The building is the middle of three high rise condominium buildings you can see on the mountaintop that were built by the same developer in the early 1980s but that are all legally separate today. The majority of units are owner-inhabited as either first or second homes. The amenities included in the HOA fee (different monthly amounts based on your unit size) include: security, a salt water pool, a recently renovated gym, a sauna, a steam room, a party room that can be reserved for your special occasions, two tennis courts, a small shared library, five common area balconies (in addition to your private balcony or balconies), beautiful landscaping, on-site mail delivery, common area maintenance, and discounted maintenance work inside your unit. The HOA cost additionally includes water, sewer, cable for your unit, as well as gas for your gas fireplace. The extremely well constructed Regency Crown is surprisingly noise insulated thanks to quality steel and concrete construction. Even sitting on your balcony you're more likely to notice the birds singing than sounds of the city. Regency Crown is a great home for those with allergies or those sensitive to the presence of animals, because the Crown property is a no pet property. The culture at Regency Crown is great. Neighbors are respectful but fun. While it is uncommon to get an unsolicited knock on your door, it is not uncommon to receive a call or email inviting you to join neighbors for a social. And you'll find a wide diversity in who lives among us- neighbors ranging from their 20's to their 90's. From graduate students to retirees, with lots of current professions represented in between, including small business owners, engineers, scientists, educators, accountants, CEOs, dentists, doctors, and philanthropists. And while we have a Homewood zip code, we're actually in the Birmingham city limits which means lower taxes but still with great public amenities such as city fire and emergency responders. We're pretty much directly in the center of convenience. You're only a few minutes to downtown Birmingham, downtown Homewood, Highway 280, or I-65. And if you like outdoor exercise, we are within walking distance of an access point for Vulcan Trail. Consider what it would be like to look at a gorgeous view every day, to live in a private and secure home that is 'lock and leave ready' when you want to travel. And imagine all the fun you'll have beside the pool at one of the low-key spontaneous socials that occur throughout the spring, summer, and fall. You'll soon get to hear what we all hear on a regular basis from first time guests to our condos: "Wow, whoa, what a view! I had no idea there was a place like this in Birmingham!"
