Wow—big moves ahead in Detroit.

General Motors is officially transitioning from the Renaissance Center to the new Hudson’s Detroit development on Woodward Avenue—a premier downtown location with world-class potential.

Many thanks to GM for the impressive tour of their new office facilities. Their new global HQ integrates mid-century modern aesthetics with high-tech features, expansive collaborative work areas, and public-facing vehicle showcases. A significant statement about GM’s future—and Detroit’s.

The overall Hudson’s Detroit project continues to rise:

• 45-story tower with the Detroit EDITION Hotel, residential units, and dining opening in 2027

• Retail and public spaces in the 12-story structure already open or scheduled for 2026

A landmark development for the city and a major catalyst for Detroit’s continued momentum.

Congratulations and sincere thanks to Roger Penske and Mark Reuss for an outstanding update on the auto industry and a strong kickoff to the Detroit Auto Show.

The new Detroit Hudson’s development and GM Headquarters provided a remarkable setting—another reminder of Detroit’s continued momentum and leadership in mobility, innovation, and global automotive excellence.

What an inspiring evening at the inaugural ball for Detroit’s newly elected mayor, Mary Sheffield. A truly historic milestone as she becomes Detroit’s first female mayor — backed by a strong record of leadership as former President of the Detroit City Council.

Sincere thanks to Mayor Mike Duggan for his exemplary 12 years of service and stewardship of our city.

With nearly 1,000 attendees joining the celebration, the energy and optimism for Detroit’s future were unmistakable. Excited to see the continued momentum and progress ahead for our great city. 🙂
