Kathryn worked at Saint Stephen’s Episcopal church for 14 years. She brings a passion for people and wants to bring clients all they deserve in an agent. Kathryn is married to Todd Dorlon and they have two children Coleman and John Wilson. She enjoys traveling, design, home remolding projects, zumba and has been involved with Gumbo Gala as Entertainment chair and children’s zone chair, is active in Cursillo of Alabama, Co-Chair to Episcopal Day at the Barons for The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama, Birmingham Botanical Gardens Antiques at the Gardens and active at her children’s schools. 66 degrees at my house this morning— a little hint of fall!

For this week’s home inspiration, I’m loving this beautiful bar by Anna Harris Interiors. The antiqued mirror, marble, layered lighting and little sink tucked into the corner make it feel elegant without being overly formal. And those blue flowers against the mirrored backdrop are so pretty.

A beautiful bar and cooler weather—I’d say we’re weekend ready! 🥃

Cheers, it’s the weekend! 🍸

For this week’s Bar Friday home inspiration, I’m loving tastemaker Ellie Proctor’s personal home bar. The woven rattan cabinet is fabulous—I especially love the Greek key detail—and the layered collection of art, beautiful lamps and bar essentials gives the whole space such a collected, personal feel.

Proof that a home bar doesn’t have to be built-in. Sometimes a beautiful piece of furniture and things you’ve collected over time make it even better.

Closed on this great Mountain Brook home today! 🏡

It’s a little bittersweet saying goodbye to this one. I helped my clients purchase this home five years ago, and while I’m sad a relocation is taking them away from Birmingham, I’m so happy for the young family who now gets to call it home. I hope they make wonderful memories here for many years to come!

It’s Friday… of course we’re talking about the bar. 🍸 Home inspiration at its best—taking an otherwise unused elevator shaft and turning it into this gorgeous emerald wet bar. I love seeing unexpected spaces reimagined in a home, and the antique mirror is the perfect finishing touch, adding so much depth and character. A great reminder that sometimes the most interesting spaces come from thinking beyond the original floor plan. Cheers to another hot weekend and a little creative thinking at home! 🥂

A long weekend calls for a well-stocked bar, a little red, white and blue, and time to enjoy the last unofficial weekend of summer. I love a bar that feels collected rather than decorated—favorite bottles, fresh citrus, a great lamp, a little art, and in this case, a few board games tucked underneath for whatever the weekend brings. With record-breaking heat headed our way this weekend, this is exactly where I’d want to spend it. ☀️🍸

A sun porch designed for summer living—with a comfortable sectional, a built-in bar, and views straight to the pool. Colorful, casual and timeless, it’s a space made for the whole family to enjoy… preferably with something cold in hand.

There was something extra special about passing the keys today. 🏡🤍

It was an honor to help three wonderful siblings sell the home where they grew up—and such a pleasure working with Robin Kidd, who brought the sweetest young couple to the closing table.

They’re already looking forward to the cherry tree in the backyard, and even the sleds that were left behind for those rare Alabama snow days. 🛷🍒 And as an added bonus, I get to see this sweet couple at church!

Knowing that another family will now make this house their home, raise their children here, and create a whole new collection of memories made today’s closing feel especially meaningful.

Some closings really do feel like the passing of more than just a key. ❤️🔑
