As small business owners, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have friends and family who support us and cheer us on. But every now and then, someone goes above and beyond—someone who doesn’t just offer encouragement, but actively finds ways to lift you up and help you grow.

Lynn has always been one of those people. She has referred countless clients to us and played a huge role in helping our business thrive. She doesn’t just support what we do—she truly champions it, and for that, we are deeply grateful.

Congratulations to Lynn and Tracy on their new home! We couldn’t be happier for you both, and we appreciate you more than you know.

When you ask for a real estate agent in a Facebook group… 😂🚂

Honestly, we get why people hesitate.

There’s a lot of noise out there.

That’s why we strive to be different:
• No pressure
• No blowing up your inbox
• Just real help when you actually need it

If you ever have questions about buying or selling, we are here to help guide and educate—no train required.

P.S. it’s only funny because it’s true and we have done it, and we have to recognize the humor in our industry. 🙋🏼‍♂️

Real estate isn’t just about contracts — it’s about understanding the house.

One of the ways Jordan and I work to better serve our buyers and sellers is by continually learning from every side of the industry. That includes spending time with experts who work every day on the parts of homes buyers and sellers worry about most — foundations, structural integrity, and long-term durability.

Recently, Kendall had the opportunity to attend an industry event featuring leaders in the foundation and home services space, including Mike Rowe, who strongly advocates for skilled trades and quality workmanship.

Why does this matter for our real estate clients?
• It helps us better guide sellers on preparing their home for the market
• It allows us to explain inspection findings with confidence
• It helps us identify when an issue is minor — and when it truly matters

Our goal has always been the same: protecting our clients and their investment. Staying informed and connected makes us better advocates for the people who trust us with one of the biggest purchases of their lives.

If you ever have questions about inspections, foundations, or what really affects value, we are always happy to help.

North Dakota homeowners — this is one to pay attention to. 👇🏼

Whether you bought last year or have owned your home for decades, this is one of those programs that’s worth applying for every single time.

Starting today, applications are open for the 2026 North Dakota Primary Residence Property Tax Credit, which can reduce your property tax bill by up to $1,600.

This credit is not income-based.
If you own and live in your home as your primary residence, you should take a few minutes to apply.

Why this matters:
• Applies statewide
• Designed to help offset rising property tax assessments
• Applies to owner-occupied primary residences
• Simple online application
• Deadline is April 1, 2026

You can apply directly through the State of North Dakota here:

As a local real estate professionals, we keep track of programs like this because property taxes are one of the most overlooked parts of homeownership costs — and credits like this can make a real difference year over year.

🎉 Congratulations to Matt & Kielly on the purchase of their first home! 🎉

They are such an amazing family, and we’re truly honored they trusted us to guide them through the buying process. Huge shout-out to Jarrod Auer, who once again showed why we love working with him as a lender, and to The Title Team for a seamless closing from start to finish.

Matt and Kielly helped us close out an incredible year—one where we were proud to assist 35+ first responders, medical professionals, teachers, and military members with buying and selling homes. Helping those who serve our community never gets old.

Welcome home, Matt & Kielly 🏡 💫

How long have you been in business?
1. 10 years

What inspired you to get into your field or become an entrepreneur?

2. My wife was a stay at home mom with a newborn. I was making $48,000 a year at the time and knew I needed to change my trajectory if I wanted to raise and support a family. I also wanted to be my own boss and unlock opportunities towards business.

What's your best piece of advice to clients looking for your services?

3. I can’t help you towards your goals if you don’t reach out or allow me into your world. There’s no need to wait until the exact moment you’re ready to buy or sell a home before you contact me. I want to get to know my clients and work with them throughout the process, even when they are just entertaining the idea of buying or selling a home. One of my primary responsibilities is to educate my clients to help them feel confident in their decisions and the earlier I can establish a connection and build trust, the earlier I can start the education process.

What is your favorite local small business?

4. I love Fizzily. Not only is their product delicious but I like their set up, location, and how they serve so many customers in a short time while still executing the customer experience perfectly.

What does the Mathew Scheetz Agency think of Jordan West?
Jordan is easy to work with, communicates clearly, and consistently goes to bat for his clients. It’s been a pleasure featuring him this week!
