Ran into this crew while leaving the job site this evening! About 3 miles south of Alma Center. The little bull seemed like he was ready to throw down for his lady friends... he probably doesn't know that a range pole makes for an excellent spear! 😅

Yesterday was our 3-year anniversary! On March 23 2020, I purchased Hurlburt Surveying & Engineering from Norm Hurlburt. Norm agreed to stay on as an employee, and we set out together as Hurlburt & Remus Surveying! Unfortunately, Norm didn't quite get to see our 2nd anniversary. It's been more than a year and I still get a smile on my face and/or tears in my eyes whenever I think of my dear friend. He would have like our new toy! To celebrate our 3rd anniversary in style, I took out our new corded hammer drill and generator, to help pre-drill holes in asphalt to drive iron pipe corner stakes into!

Surveying at night? Highly unorthodox, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do! I will always do whatever it takes to fulfill the promise I make to my clients. I’ve heard of some prospective clients being upset by me not promptly returning calls. I assure it is nothing personal. I am one man with a lot to do. I remember talking to my old friend Norm once about how he handled staying on top of all the messages while still getting work done. He said something like “if they call three times I know they’re serious”. 🤷‍♂️ I miss my friend, but I know he’s proud of this surveyor! ✌️
