New York is currently facing an unusually early and heavy tick season in April 2026, with health officials reporting the highest rate of tick bites in a decade. The New York State Department of Health and the CDC have issued early advisories as emergency room visits for tick bites are running more than double the historic average in the Northeast. 80% are estimated to be Lyme carrier's.

Good Morning, Community. Please join us this Sunday. We will be conducting a trail cleanup at 11 am and hosting a barbecue by the pavilion around 3pm. Our new owners have graciously provided hamburgers, hotdogs, vegan options, chips, macaroni salad, cole slaw, cold beverages, and watermelon. Dumpsters have been placed for our community members to utilize and we apologize for any delays. We look forward to seeing everyone this Sunday. ✌️😊
