Surprise!

As temperatures soared across Ohio, our Jefferson Chase team rolled in with the perfect heat wave remedy: an ice cream truck pop-up event!

We got the Cortland Ice Cream truck rolling & neighbors waved us down throughout the community and enjoyed some well-deserved frozen treats.
Nothing beats sharing a little sweetness and creating unexpected moments of joy with our residents.

Freedom looks different for everyone — but for many, it starts with finding a place that truly feels like home. 🏡

This Independence Day weekend, we're celebrating the liberty to live boldly, comfortably, and beautifully. At Jefferson Chase, that freedom is built into every detail — from waterfront views that greet you each morning to spacious one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and townhomes designed for real living.

Imagine stepping out of your door to peaceful waterscape views, coming home to wood finish flooring and generous closets, or unwinding at a resort-style pool after a day of celebration. This is not just a place to stay — it's a place to belong. 🌟

The fireworks fade, but the feeling of home? That stays.

Whether you're starting fresh or simply ready for something better, Jefferson Chase offers the kind of life worth celebrating — pet-friendly, community-driven, and thoughtfully crafted for those who refuse to settle.

What does your ideal home feel like? Share it below — we'd love to hear your vision. 👇

As we wrap up the week, we're reminiscing on all the fun we had at our annual Jefferson Chase Pool Party. From the delicious refreshments at the Lemonade Shake Up stand to the great music from our live DJ, the atmosphere was full of energy, laughter, and community spirit.

It was wonderful to see so many residents come out, relax by the pool, connect with neighbors, dance, and enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon together. The positive vibes and smiling faces made this event one to remember!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's pool party such a success. Events like these remind us of what makes the Jefferson Chase community so special. 💙

It takes a lot of hard work to keep our communities beautiful and running smoothly year-round, and we couldn't do it without our service teams!

Our teams around the country wrapped up another successful last week! We are so proud of our associates coming together to help out their local communities by providing meals to people experiencing food insecurity and cleaning up spaces that are built to provide assistance to those in need.

This is an opportunity for us to reflect not only on the theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” but also on how Cortland is one of countless organizations whose members are connected to the history this month celebrates.

This month, we’re highlighting six of our associates who shared their relation to a Black history maker — from prolific and award‑winning musicians Billy Strayhorn and Oscar Sheppard, to historic baseball player Dennis “Bose” Biddler, to Dr. Edwin A. Thompson, founder of Atlanta Metropolitan State College, and to William Still, an abolitionist credited as the father and primary architect of the Underground Railroad.

Valentine's Day at Cortland 💘

There's nothing better than starting off the year with a sense of calm and clarity. This inspired our winter art installation at our Community Support Center in Atlanta. It serves as a visual deep-breath, allowing viewers to take some time and observe the natural beauty of art and slow down.

We currently have the work of artist Sensei Elliston Roshi on display with the help of KAI LIN ART. Elliston, who is currently an Abbot of the Atlanta Soto Zen Center, explores the Taoist and Zen ideals of harmony in action. By surrendering to the medium, he allows "inevitable accidents" to reveal the beauty of the natural laws all around us.

The usage of sumi ink, which is traditional in the use of Zen artistry, works together with the water-based pigments and how it presents itself on different materials like paper, plastic, and painted board.

Kai Lin's art serves as a reminder to take a moment, and make time for peace away from rush of the world.
