Original Medicare covers a lot, but not everything.

Here are 6 common services that are generally not covered by Medicare Part A and Part B:
• Routine dental care
• Routine vision care
• Hearing aids
• Long-term custodial care
• Most care outside the U.S.
• Routine foot care

There can be exceptions depending on the service, medical necessity, and your specific coverage.

Medicare Advantage plans may also include benefits that Original Medicare does not.

If you or a parent are on Medicare, it's worth knowing what your plan actually covers before you need it.

Choosing senior living for someone you love can feel overwhelming especially when every option seems to promise the same thing.

But the right community isn’t simply the one with the nicest building or the longest list of amenities. It’s the one that fits your loved one’s needs, personality, preferences, and the support they may need in the future.

Take your time. Ask detailed questions. Watch how the staff interacts with residents. Understand every cost. And most importantly, include your loved one in the conversation whenever possible.

You don’t have to make this decision alone. With the right guidance, the process can feel much clearer and more manageable.
